Christine Butler

Christine Butler currently teaches Foundations of America. She has taught Civilizations I, Modern World History, and Psychology. She graduated magna cum laude from Drew University, earning a B.A. in Behavioral Science. She earned her M.A.T. in social studies secondary education from Tufts University. Her first teaching job was at Waterford High School in Connecticut where she taught Cultural Geography, World History, African-American History, U.S. History, and AP Psychology. Mrs. Butler earned her M.Ed. in educational administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and served as Assistant Principal for Instruction at Belmont High School for three years. Her desire to return to the classroom led her to Bedford High School in 2005. Mrs. Butler is originally from north central Connecticut but currently resides in Lynnfield, MA with her husband and two young sons.

David Boschetto

Dave Boschetto started teaching at Bedford High School in 2002. Mr. Boschetto is a co-developer of Bedford's comprehensive critical thinking program and teaches Psychology, Law and Modern American History. Mr. Boschetto is a member of Bedford High's class of 1991. Prior to coming back to Bedford in 2002, Mr. Boschetto worked as an estate planner for Ropes & Gray in Boston. He is a 1991 Bedford High grad, a 1995 summa cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College, where he majored in Government and Psychology, and a 1998 cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, with concentrations in Constitutional Law and Tax Planning. Mr. Boschetto is Bedford High's varsity boys' soccer coach and has coached for the BHS boys' basketball program. He lives in Winchester with his wife and three young children.

Patrick Culhane

Patrick Culhane currently teaches Honors and High Honors Modern American History. Prior to teaching at Bedford, he taught at Westford Academy and Greater Lawrence Technical School. Patrick received his B.A. in history from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2008, and his M.A. in history from Boston University in 2011 . Patrick currently coaches the boys' freshman soccer team & resides in Dracut with his wife and daughter.

Timothy Dolan

Tim Dolan is a history and English teacher who is currently teaching Foundations of America and American Perspectives. He graduated from the University of Miami, FL in 2007 with a B.A. in English Education, and earned his M.A. from UMass-Boston in 2011. Prior to joining the Bedford High School team in 2012, he taught for 3 years at Tech Boston Academy in Dorchester, MA. He also taught middle school social studies in Miami between undergraduate and graduate studies. Mr. Dolan is advisor to the school newspaper, the BHS Lookout. He currently resides in Waltham, MA.

Richard Donnelly

Richard Donnelly is a history and economics teacher who is currently teaching level 5 Modern World History and Level 4/5 Economics. Mr. Donnelly is the advisor for the Euro Challenge team and the International Economic Summit program at Bedford High School and is the organizer for the Spring History Night. Mr. Donnelly began teaching at BHS in 2002. In addition to teaching at BHS, Mr. Donnlly Economics at UMass Lowell. Prior to coming to Bedford, Mr. Donnelly taught for two years at North Middlesex Regional High School and one year at Trinity High School. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Donnelly taught economics in Ukraine and Moldova as part of the Civic Education Project. Mr. Donnelly received his M.A. in Economics from the University of Connecticut, his B.A. from New England College and his teacher certification from Framingham State College. Mr. Donnelly lives in Bedford.

Elizabeth Goetschius

Betsy Goetschius currently teaches Modern World History. She graduated from Wellesley College with a B.A. in International Relations. During her time at Wellesley, she was very involved in residential life, and she pursued a lucrative career as an after-school babysitter. She also participated in a study abroad program in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she had the opportunity to work as an intern for a member of the Scottish Parliament. After working for a year, she enrolled at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she earned an M.Ed. in social studies education. Ms. Goetschius is originally from Essex, Vermont, but she currently resides in Maynard with her two chihuahua mixes, Franklin and Eleanor. She enjoys exploring the city, reading, and learning about Massachusetts history.

Tova Margolis

Tova Margolis currently teaches Modern World History and Gender Studies and is the advisor to the UNICEF Club. She graduated cum laude from Simmons College, earning a B.A. with a double major in History and Women's Studies. As an undergraduate, Mrs. Margolis spent two summers studying abroad in London and Prague. After completing her Bachelor's, Mrs. Margolis worked in sales in New York City. She returned to Simmons in 2007 to earn her M.A.T. Prior to joining the Bedford High School faculty in 2008, she completed her student teaching at Watertown High School. She lives in Brookline with her husband, daughter and dog.

Lisa Predaina

Lisa Predaina currently teaches Foundations of America, Modern World History, and Real World Social Studies. She also coaches the Varsity Volleyball team and the JV softball team. Prior to teaching at Bedford, she taught World History 1, Psychology and Sociology at Douglas High School in Douglas, MA. Ms. Predaina earned a B.A. in History graduating cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2007. Upon relocating to Massachusetts she received her M.A.T. in History and Social Studies Education from Boston University in 2008. Originally from sunny Colorado, Ms. Predaina currently resides in South Boston.

Milena Rosecan

Mina Rosecan is currently teaching Foundations of America. She has taught Civilizations I, Introduction to Law (levels 4/5), and Gender Studies. Mrs. Rosecan has been teaching at BHS since 2002. Her previous teaching experience includes a wide range of Social Studies courses at a small middle and high school in Mississippi, as well as several college courses in Anthropology at Mississippi State University. Mrs. Rosecan's own college studies focused on Anthropology and History, in which she earned a joint bachelor's degree at Brandeis University, graduating summa cum laude. She also earned a master's degree in Anthropology from the University of Chicago and master's degree in Education from Mississippi State University. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Rosecan's previous career was focused on anthropology and archaeology.

James Sunderland

Jim Sunderland currently teaches Modern United States History and Foundations of America. Mx. Sunderland is a co-developer of Bedford's comprehensive critical thinking program and is the coordinator for BHS' National History Day team. Mx. Sunderland started teaching at Bedford High School in 2003. Prior to coming to Bedford, Mx. Sunderland taught for three years at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School. Between 1998 and 2000, Mx. Sunderland was a member of the Humanities department at Skyline High School in Sammamish, Washington. Xe served as a substitute teacher in numerous Seattle area school districts during the 1997-98 school year. Mx. Sunderland received xyr M.Ed. from UMass Boston in 1997 and xyr B.A. in the College of Social Studies from Wesleyan University in 1992. Mx. Sunderland was honored by the New England History Teachers' Association when xe received the Kidger Award for Outstanding History Teacher in 2010. That same year, xe was also honored by the Massachusetts History Day State Board when xe received the Massachusetts History Day Teacher of the Year award. Mx. Sunderland is originally from rural northern New York State but currently resides in Beverly, MA.

Dennis Walsh

Dennis Walsh currently teaches Foundations of America and Sociology. He started teaching at Bedford High School in 1997. He earned his M.A. from American Public University and a B.A. from Fitchburg State College where he majored in History and Education. Mr. Walsh is the head coach of the Bedford High School varsity girls' softball team. In his free time, he fishes for bass whenever possible and helps raise his four amazing children. He will always reside in his hometown Wilmington.

John Wysokowski

John Wysokowski currently teaches Modern American History and American Government. Originally from Rochester, New York, he is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he studied history and music. Mr. Wysokowski earned his M.A. in Education from Nazareth College of Rochester. He has been teaching in Bedford since 2013.
