Computer Department

The Computer Department is responsible for all maintenance, repair, acquisition and installation of any technology used at the Bedford Public Schools. These technology items include not only computers and printers, but network servers, wide area network links to the different school buildings, access to the internet, and various other items such as Alphasmarts, Smart Boards and audio visual equipment.

The department is staffed with a full time Director of Information Technology, 3.5 full time Computer Technicians. This staff is augmented with assistance from the Computer Teachers and Computer Lab aides within each building who handle requests for supplies and user assistance in the use of technology. During the summer, High School students are hired to assist with the installation of new equipment, inventory and regular maintenance
