Academic Advising Process

Bedford High School Course Request Process
Academic Advising 2020-2021

The goal of the process is to develop a course load that challenges you while also allowing you to develop your current interests and abilities and try new areas to stimulate new interests.

  • There are multiple opportunities to have discussions and engage in reflection around the direction of your academic career at BHS.
  • Be honest with yourself about your abilities, time constraints, and interests.
  • Ask questions and seek out the advice and guidance of the adults in your life, be they your parents, teachers, counselors, or program administrators.
  • Work toward finding a balance between the rigor of the classroom and the demands of other activities outside of the classroom. Finding that balance is essential to your success and well-being as you progress through high school.

The BHS Program of Studies is available on the BHS website.
